In early 2013, Laura and Nate, a fun Sheffield-born couple living in London, approached us to create their ideal wedding from scratch in the grounds of a gorgeous stately home. Their brief was to create a garden-party themed wedding with a relaxed vibe, where the party could go on until as late as possible and guests could sleep in tipis. We set our eyes on Bell Hall in Naburn (near York) and designed their wedding to take place in the grounds, utilising all of the space. The wedding ceremony took place outdoors in a secret garden-inspired area of the grounds followed by live music, drinks and canapés on the lawn.
Guests were then lead to a huge dinner and dancing marquee (actually two marquees combined) where they were served delicious sharing plates of Spanish tapas and champagne. Later on the evening, guests continued the party in the adjoining dance marquee with a live band, silent disco and fireworks. At around 4am, the party stopped and guests slumbered in beautiful white tipis on site, enjoying a full English breakfast with lots of cups of tea the next day. It was a perfect day for a lovely couple.
